I was planning on taking it easy, Just doing the Saturday Alegria thing. But instead ended up having 3 days of drinking and overthinking.
Friday - At work, Wendy's on the way home, then Gym bar, then Ty's, then Hangar, then Splash till 3:15am.
Saturday Night - arrival at Alegria at Webster Hall,
Proceeded to have security drama as they make me check the chain from my wallet, and the lights (the small ones and not the big ones ?). I saw all of my friends, both upstairs and down and upstairs again (too many stairs) and though the music was good and the stage entertainment was good, the place was too hot and some people were rude in their highness (pushy and hitting bystanders for no reason other than they thought they finally got the beat and could dance). I stayed until 6:50 just 1 hr longer than Russ and the Jimmy. The attitude at the door ruined my mood. I had fun but it was not worth it. (and $90 for Pride weekend is definitely not on my list of worth it).
Sunday - The Eagle for a hangout on the roofdeck, and the crowd was great. The place was nice and crowded from the moment we made our way up to the third level and the bartenders were nice and the crowd was fun and funny. I stayed there for a few hours then when I got my friend texts I did a quick run downtown to meet friends at Hiro (which was ridiculously crowded) and then meet at G lounge (ridiculously crowded). So after a bathroom break at Gym bar a hello to the DJ and then saying goodnight to Maurice who decided to head back home, Dwayne and I headed over to Splash. DJ Billy Carroll had the room pumping to a healthy crowd that had as many people upstairs as a good Saturday Night. I danced some on the dancefloor and even at the front bar with a tall blond girl who was with her friends and then at 3:10am following the sounds of Janet Jackson and "Feedback" I did the two hands lit dance on the box and finally I felt I had the high point my weekend needed. Anyway left the club at 3:45 and finally headed home.
Monday - Delivery breakfast (again) and then headed into the city to meet friends in the park. Towel in the grass at Stuy town, plenty of sunblock and hung out with Gary, Nathan and the girls. Sunblock was applied and we left at 4pm to go get something for dinner. A pickup order at Dallas BBQ and then it was home to watch "Apocalypto" on Blu-Ray. After that it was time to nap and then Baskin and Robbins ice cream. Still dehydrated, but getting better. ; )
Quotes:
"I am so tired of playing 'Fat Girlfriend*', I need some me time, where its about me and not about being fat girlfriend."
"I like having my own bartender, I remember to treat them nice and they treat me nice. It's like the 'Circle of Vodka'.
*Fat Girlfriend - The frumpy friend that hangs out with the girl that gets all of the attention.
