10/31 - Ready to Go. - Check

I have been living it up lately. All of the crew has been in attendance. I have been doing my part to keep the party moving and I think I have found all of the new bartender's I need to go to since some of my old bartenders have retired (sad face). The fall has rolled in like gang busters and I really needed to pull out the winter wear to walk the streets this past week.
I need cover as a run from club to club you know.
Anyway, I have been free with the advice, talking to some very smart people from DJs to friends I have just met and have been growing as a person in getting advice, giving advice and following my own advice (for once).

Preparation is the mother of invention. If I just put myself in the right place with the right preparation then good things will happen and I will go on like Celine Dion.

I have been doing the usual circuit of Gymbar, G Lounge and Splash, with side trips to Rebel and Mr Black thrown in. I feel bad that I can't visit Rebel more because I did have a good time with the music there, (better than I thought I would) and I have a bartender I know in the space. The bad news is they search you down like you are a criminal. I would have to leave my wallet chain and my Visine elsewhere to get inside. The full body pat down gets tired when you know you are innocent.

I have recently started going out on multiple nights over the weekend. As long as my wallet can handle it and I have friends to join me I will try my best. Has been a good time had by all so far.

No checks have bounced and all credit lines are open. The next party will be arriving in... 11 hours. Countdown begins...

10/17 - 10/19/08 - Quick Weekend -

Friday and Saturday I hung out.

Friends were there. I was totally gypped on Friday paying to get into Splash and no one was there (it was busy downstairs but it was not worth 15 dollars. Especially when 45 min later Russ and the Jimmy got in for free. Anyway I will not be going to Splash after midnite on a Friday anytime for the foreseeable future (and pay full price)

I shoulda stayed at G Lounge or went to Mr Black.

Anyway Saturday was much better
Hung out with friends at Mike's place. Chatted, laughed and watched baseball game. Went to Gym, said hello to Ty. Met up with Durrell and headed over to Splash. Said Hello to Derek, gave him All Falling Up CD and partied with DJ David Knapp and DJ Danny Echi. Stayed dancing until 5am and got b'fast at Mickey D's before heading home.

Sunday was nice and restful. Looking forward to another slow week.
