8-27-08 - Silly Mid-Week Musings

If people wonder why I don't have time to update so much I guess because
I'm usually busy,
I work,
I have accounts on myspace
and twitter,
and I also keep up on current events across the internet.
Both technological and just funny.

But back to my musings..

I never did understand this song.

It always sounded like a girl in a downright abusive boy/girl interaction.

8/23/08 - Adventures as usual

Having a good weekend so far.
I hung out Friday night walking through the village before heading up to Chelsea and hanging with my friends at Gymbar. There is nothing like watching slow motion replays of the Olympics while listening to house music. Talked with Steve about writing, Talked to Smoky about DJing, Talked to Ben about how the week has been and looking forward to next weekend (Labor Day), and even chatted with DJ Demarko as he played his set in the Locker Room. After meeting up with Dwayne we headed out and over to G Lounge. Once there and after getting drinks from Marcelo we said hello to Russ and the Jimmy who were already in attendance and chatted with some new friends before heading over to Splash. Once inside we danced a bit and got our drinks from Garrett and danced some more before meeting up with Russ and the Jimmy at Mickey Ds at 3:50 am. The food was sub par but we were able to get a taxi ride home. Despite my smart-alec taxi driver we arrived back in Bklyn safely and I got some well deserved rest.

After waking up in the morning I went to check my phone for messages. No phone. I asked Russ to call my phone but alas it went unheard. I immediately stopped calling and went online to sign up for the Family Locator on the phone company website. Thank goodness the GPS in my phone was locatable and I was able to see on the map where my phone was. In Queens.

This meant a road trip out to the edge of Long Island City right next to the 59th Street bridge unfortunately I was not using GPS so instead of turning off of the Blvd when I was supposed to we took the long way by way of the 59th Street bridge to Manhattan, then back to Queens again before turning off onto the local warehouse streets, finding 21st Ave and the right cross street and then finding the SUV taxi's all parked in a nice row on the street the GPS had pin-pointed for me. We looked at a few Taxis and then I had Russ call my phone and one of the Nice taxi drivers heard my phone ringing and handed it to me. Lucky Me.

Now that I had my phone back we had to use the Navigator on my Instinct phone to find the highway entrance to the BQE so we could head back to Brooklyn. Was able to call ahead for pickup at the delivery breakfast bagel place. Back at home newly united with my phone I texted all my friends and tried to figure out if I would head to the beach but ended up just staying home, watching the Olympics, barbered the hair, showered and late in the afternoon headed over to Wendy's for Lunch. On the way back home we almost ran over some chickenhead who did not look both ways before crossing. We had to stop short and I dropped my french fries on the floor. Stupid chicken. Anyway the Double was very good and the leftover fries good too. I was able to sit back on my couch and take a nice afternoon nap. I am ready for Saturday night.

8/13/08 - You Keep On Going

What can I say,
I've been distracted,
Not been posting
Working,
Waiting for something to Happen,
Looking forward to more fun, more friends, more interesting times.

I guess I should say that I am looking enjoying my summer so far.
Got over a summer cold and ear infection
(no thanks to the doctor, thank goodness for friends with antibiotics)
got lost in the middle of Brooklyn once again on the way home but
with the warmer summer was able to get the Google Maps on my phone to tell me my position and walk home from the Q train.

The Summer is not over and there are plenty of fun times ahead.

Its all good.

Thank you Friends. :)
