10/26 - H'Ween Weekend - Fun and In between scenes..

Friday I could not leave work fast enough but still had to do some shopping (those angel wings were not going to buy themselves, ha!). So I headed over to the ghetto mall off of Flatbush and I found out that the GHETTO MALL IS CLOSED. Well Fulton Street Mall is still there but the Albee Square Mall and especially the Toys R Us is now gone. I walked around the whole space and saw all the doors gated and the security guard in the building watching television. I was totally lost for a second and then I walked down the street and found this store called, I think "Cookies" where they had kids halloween costumes. Now I was not planning on buying full size I hat that stupid person wings that got in the way I was going to trim them for my own use anyway so I actually found a $5 dollar pair of wings that I knew would work out once I sized them the way I wanted (cut in half and pointed down and using the arm straps connected as a necklace. But I'm getting ahead of myself. On Friday I got back home threw the bags into the room and ate my italian dinner and got myself ready to go out. We headed over to Steven's place downtown and met up with the Jimmy and Steven and helped Steven with his PC while the guys played backgammon. Finally they were torn away from the game and the four of us piled into Steven's Explorer and headed uptown. We did a driveby of the Ritz but the crowd wasn't what we ALL wanted so we headed towards Krash at Stereo but could not find parking. Right after a truly emotional blow-up in the car regarding parking and back seat driving we all stepped out of the vehicle and went to our neutral corners. The entry to the club was uneventful (even though I did manage to lose one of my lights) but once inside the party looked fun yet sadly empty of the raucous crowd I was used to on Saturdays. People were having fun but the place only had like 130 people dancing and so despite the crowd having fun the place closed at 2am. Krash is closed once again. But at least I got to see it once before it was gone. I said goodnight to Jenny and the rest of the crowd and we headed out to the car and over to Splash. Once inside I hung up my coat and danced downstairs and up. DJ for the eve was Brett Heinrichsen and we stayed and enjoyed ourselves until it was time to leave (around 3:15am) We were able to get a taxi pretty easily and headed back to BK.

Pretty normal for a Friday but it was just the first day of the weekend.

10/26 - And You Know This...

I know it has taken me a while but I think I will have to post even more than before because I am going to have to change the direction of the blog just slightly.

Still me.

Still having fun.

But a little more of the stream of consciousness "how I happen to be doing" than I have before.

I have kind of kept the blog as a removed 3rd person except when I needed to say what happened to myself but I guess I have to let people know that I have a regular life (until I become a world famous author, or songwriter or producer/remixer/DJ) and that some things in my regular life have to sustain my weekends. Both financially and nutritionally and definitely getting enough sleep. I try to do all of these things and still make it through my life as it is to make it to the fun parts. The parts I like to write about. I have gotten so busy and so focused on so many things daily in terms of getting to the gym, working out and working at my job, and shopping, (for myself and my home and the stuff that just comes up) There never seems to be enough time but I think I will get better at my time management as I have more to say. I will try to make sure that I take my thumb drive with me so I can write away from home and import the data. But we will see.

What Is going on with me some times.

10/5 - 10/9 - Journey to Canada and Blue and Black Again

10/5 - We left a little late in the afternoon but on the road and heading out of the city. We listened to Niagara Falls and Angel Falls CDs (Pre Party and Peak Hour) Stopped at Mickey D's at a rest stop, cracked jokes, and we got into the city of Quebec around 11:20pm. We checked into the hotel, cleaned up, changed clothes and Rob and I headed over to the first event. The event was more bears in leather than Rob was used to and as soon as Tres and Mo arrived they all decided to head over to the afterhours spot and I stayed at the Leather Ball with Joe and Chris. The music was good (David Knapp and Tracy Young) and I stayed and danced and hung out at the party until around 4:30 and then the three of us headed out into the street in our leather and after stopping for a soda at the pizza place we headed back down Rue Catherine to Circus. We got into the club, checked our clothes and I met up with the others and danced in the club until after 6am. Dancing in my leather shorts and collar in the middle of the mixed club was interesting but I did get tired of the glowstick kids and the thug wannabes walking in from the Hip-Hop Room. I had a good time though and walked Chris and Joe back over to the Leather party before heading back to my hotel room.

10/6 - I woke up and cleaned up and headed out to the supermarket. Of course the day got colder from the day before and I needed my jacket but I did go to the IGA and pick up soda, snacks and food and kept it all in the fridge in my room. I texted the boys but they had left their phones in the car so they did not get the msgs until later. They came over around dinner time and we all headed over to Chinatown and actually had dinner at a non chinese but still asian place where the food was very good. After dinner we headed back to our rooms and chilled out a bit before cleaning up, dressing and heading over to the boys room before we all headed back over to Medley and the Military Ball. The music was good (and the fire show was GREAT, spinning wands of fire and a fire blower on stage) and we stayed and danced until around 5am when we decided to head over to the afterhours and see what was up. Once there the crowd outside and the thought of the having to go through another security and coat check made us decide to go back to the Military ball. We got back in quickly and danced at the club until 7am in the morning when the place started to empty out.

10/7 - Mo came over and we walked down to the village and had Brunch. Egg and cheese croissants and some yogurt afterwards. We stopped at the pharmacy and I picked up gum and Roboxet before we headed back to the hotel. I watched music videos and then anime videos on my mac before was late enough to eat dinner and get ready to heat out. We did not know how the line was going to be but it was in fact raining when we headed out so we got the valet to get a taxi for us and then headed over to the Stadum. At least I knew where the place was as the driver looped us around an extra block before we got near enough to the stadium to head inside. There was no line for the VIP ticket window pickup for Mo and we then all headed inside to coatcheck, security check and then to the main dance floor on the stadium floor.

I walked us over to the VIP and found out they did not have their own bathroom so we had to wait on line in front of the row of pottys but thankfully we were lit up so we could see if the places were clear or not. After that we headed inside the VIP and walked up onto the stage to see Antoine Clamaran hitting the peak of his DJ set and we got a few drinks and then danced in the VIP area before heading outside and seeing what the crowd was up to. I headed through the people standing near the stage and saw the show up close and even saw a dancer that looked like Seema. I returned to the VIP to listen to power source # 3 (Electric party theme) DJ Peter Rauhofer who started out wth a very high energy set that had us up and dancing, he even played his mix of Rihanna "Don't Stop the Music". As there seemed to be something wrong with the stage setup his set was extended for an extra 20 minutes and we danced some more before the next show started. The next show was great, with the music from the opera scene of "The Fifth Element" and a set of queens and a strength act that we had never seen before. The performer did extended poses holding himself perpendicular to the floor from the pole anchored into the floor but then did a clock-walk around with his feet on the air and holding himself from the pole in a complete circle. After that amazing set DJ Mark Anthony came online and we danced some more dealt with the high dancers who had returned from dancing on the stage and were now in the VIP. (We could tell from the silver headphones they had worn on stage). After that DJ set we stayed for DJ D-Formation who was interesting but since the music was really an after-hours set I was just dancing on fumes hoping for something better. Finally I decided to head out at 11am and said goodnight to the boys and headed out to the train. I got to the subway and took the ride back to Berri-Uqam station before heading to the ATM and then back to my hotel. The main event was over and I was so wound up I read a paragraph or two in the novel (Talyn-by Holly Lisle) I brought before going to sleep.

10/7 - I woke up around 6 and had lunch and then a while later I had dinner (thank you Michelena your italian dinners are the best) before watching some more television (Dralion by Cirque) and then cleaned up and got ready to head out once again. Around 11:30 I headed over to get the boys and hung out until they got ready and we all headed out for the final night. Monday night and the hip-hop room wasn't open but there was plenty of space to dance and we proceeded to do just that. Once DJ Peter Rauhofer came on however I had to put plugs in my ears so I wouldn't lose my hearing dancing near the speakers but I did enjoy myself and we all stayed at the club until around 5am and we said goodnight to Joe and headed back to the hotel. Said goodnight to the guys and I went to bed.

10/8 - I set my phone to wake me up at 10:40 and proceeded to do just that. Already clothes packed from the night before I just had to get dressed, and all of the bathroom and computer stuff packed. Once done I headed over to the boys room and waited while they got ready. We then checked out of the hotel and headed back home. A slight detour to the south end of the city looking for a Starbucks and then onto the highway but we got stuck in traffic (for no reason we could figure out) for almost an hour before finally picking up speed and heading back to the US. We stopped at the duty free and then made it through customs before heading back to the US and the rainy roads. Thankfully it stopped raining when we got out of the car. It stopped raining long enough for us to get our chicken at Arby's and then once we got back on the road and around the bend we drove right into the teeth of the storm and had to go the rest of the way in the rain. The only bad moments were passing a truck that threw water onto our windshield and missing the exit for the Major Deegan and going instead down the Bronx River Highway. It was dark and dreary but we made it back through the Bronx and into Queens where we got off of the first exit and drove Mo back to his hood. Then we returned to BK and I was finally home. Said goodnight to the guys got my stuff out of the trunk and made my way upstairs. The weekend adventure was over.

But the guys said they would do it again and I enjoyed so it just may happen. Hot times, good friends, interesting things to see and do. Until next time..
Keep it hot.
