5-12-07 - 2 places to go, 2 much fun 2 with 2 many friends.

Rainy Night, but Party at Mike's. A quick taxi ride over to Manhattan and then a run across the street from Ground Zero (I got dropped off on the wrong side) but a short walk through the rain and I got to hang out with Mike, Russ, the Jimmy and Ty. Met Chun Wei as he decided to go with me to Avalon to meet Rob and Tres and the rest of the crew. Arrived at Avalon right after 12:15, said a quick hello to a busy Derek (who was talking to japanese tourist girls) and headed inside. Said hello to Rob, Tres, Pat, Steve, Rick and Shawn and gave CDs to Cathy and Jose. DJ Roland Belmares was good (both mixes of "Irreplaceable") but the party was mostly empty on the main floor. It appeared to get better around 1am but by 1:50am it had gotten sorta empty again. The Chapel had plenty of people and we danced there a few times while the Spider Club was off limits (security waved us out when I gave the nickel tour). We ended up heading out just after 2am and six of us piling into Rob's ride to head crosstown and uptown (stopping to buy soda and water) on our way over and headed inside of Club Stereo. The place was fully rockin (still no Louis) but DJ Peter Rauhofer had the place going at full swing. From the Deja Vu Dub to his Nelly Furtado mixes, the crowd was totally into it and we kept up the dancing until I finally headed out for some breakfast at 5:36am at the Mickey D's (passing Erica on my way up the block). After a longer than usual wait for my food I headed one block over and hailed another instant taxi. I headed back to BK listening to my gym iPod (the slow songs I saved on there for my rides home) and got back to BK safely.

Sunday I was happy I already had eaten breakfast since there was none to be had at home before heading out for a late lunch to meet the crew at Croxley Ale House in the East Village. Hopstop got me over to Delancey street and heading in the right direction with no issues and the onion burger at the restaurant was good as was the usual conversations with our friends. Then it was time to head back to BK and I car sat for a bit (I still have not mastered city parallel parking) and then headed over to Baskin Robbins for my double vanilla scoop so I could eat ice cream while watching the Soprano's. Another good episode and then an episode of Entourage and the night winds down. Another weekend under wraps.
